HOW about reviving the ferry services from Liverpool Pier Head to the restored International Garden Festival site?
A meeting is planned for July 4, at 5.30pm, in Otterspool Inn, for all those interested in the idea.

There is a public exhibition on Saturday 15th Jan 2011 at the Britannia Pub on Riverside Drive concerning the Mersey Tidal Power project. The exhibition will provide information about the project and the work undertaken to date, with members of the project team on hand to answer any questions. Feedback forms will be provided to capture the views and ideas of members of the public.read more
Did anybody else spot that Penguin having his photo taken yesterday morning down by the river just past the Britannia Pub next to the new funnels. It must be a Go Penguin who escaped a bit early. He didn’t stay long though and there is no sign of him now.read more
While out taking photos this evening just down from the Brittania Inn along the Dingle Esplanade I saw something unusual in the water. There were two of them, quite a long way out. Unfortunately my camera doesn’t have much of a zoom lens so it’s hard to be sure what exactly they were. You can click on one of the photos to see a larger version. Apparently the Harbour Porpoise is most commonly sighted in this area but I’m not sure as this doesn’t seem to have the right shaped nose. I think it looks more like a Bottlenose Dolphin.
